Project claims to run full iOS 16.5 firmware on Android devices

Original: Run full iOS 16.5 firmware on Android Devices

A GitHub project called hackios-xnu-kernel claims to let users run the full iOS 16.5 firmware on Android devices, an unusual cross-platform feat given that Apple's kernel and firmware are not designed for Android hardware. The repository has drawn attention on Hacker News, where commenters are likely questioning its technical plausibility and legality, since distributing Apple firmware is generally against Apple's licensing terms.

Why now: The claim of running Apple's iOS on non-Apple hardware is technically surprising and legally dubious, sparking curiosity and skepticism.
