Project claims to run full iOS 16.5 on Android devices
Original: Run full iOS 16.5 firmware on Android Devices
A project shared on GitHub claims to let users run the full iOS 16.5 firmware on Android devices, apparently by porting Apple's XNU kernel. If genuine, it would be a notable hack, since Apple's mobile operating system is designed to run only on its own hardware. Commenters are likely debating whether the claim is real and how it technically works.
Why now: Running Apple's iOS on non-Apple hardware would be a striking technical achievement, and the project's ranking on Hacker News shows the developer community is scrutinizing the claim.
