Project claims to run iOS 16.5 firmware on Android phones
Original: Run full iOS 16.5 firmware on Android Devices
A project published on GitHub claims to run the full iOS 16.5 firmware, including the XNU kernel, on Android devices. If genuine, it would be a significant technical feat, since Apple's operating system is built exclusively for its own hardware. Commenters are discussing the claim's plausibility, with skepticism typical of such announcements, and attention is focused on whether the code actually delivers what it promises.
Why now: The surprising claim of running Apple's iOS on non-Apple hardware is drawing attention and skepticism from developers.
