Sphinx quizzes developers on AI-generated code before shipping
Original: Show HN: Sphinx – A hook that quizzes you on your AI's code before shipping
A new tool called Sphinx has launched, acting as a pre-commit hook that quizzes developers on the code their AI assistant wrote before it can be shipped. The idea is to force engineers to actually understand generated code rather than blindly merging it. Commenters are debating whether such friction genuinely improves code review or just adds ceremony to AI-assisted workflows.
Why now: Concern is growing that developers ship AI-generated code they don't understand, so a tool that forces comprehension is sparking debate.
