New tool quizzes developers on AI-written code before shipping
Original: Show HN: Sphinx – A hook that quizzes you on your AI's code before shipping
A developer has released Sphinx, a tool presented on Hacker News that acts as a hook requiring engineers to answer quiz questions about code written by AI assistants before it can be shipped. The idea taps into a growing concern that developers are merging AI-generated code they do not fully understand. Commenters are debating whether friction like this genuinely improves code review or just adds overhead.
Why now: Concern is rising that developers ship AI-generated code without understanding it, and this tool directly addresses that.
