Russian Bot Activity Falls 84% After Yandex Data Center Strikes
Original: Russian Bot Activity Collapses by 84% After Strikes on Yandex Data Centers
Ukraine's Centre for Countering Disinformation reports that Russian bot activity online dropped sharply by 84% following strikes on Yandex data centers. The report suggests much of the coordinated inauthentic activity relied on that infrastructure, and analysts say the findings offer rare measurable evidence of how bot networks depend on physical hosting inside Russia.
Why now: New official analysis quantifies a dramatic drop in Russian bot activity, linking it directly to recent strikes on Yandex infrastructure.
