Alberta NDP urged to oppose public money for pipeline

Original: And here's more @ avilewis . THIS is what the ABNDP should be reposing, NOT Danielle Smith: "Throwing billions in public

Commentators are pressing the Alberta NDP to take a stronger stand against provincial plans to back a pipeline with billions in public funds. Critics, including supporters of leadership candidate Avi Lewis, argue the party should oppose spending on a pipeline during climate breakdown, particularly given weakened environmental protections, inadequate Indigenous consultation and concerns over workers' rights, rather than focusing attacks on Premier Danielle Smith.

Why now: Debate over the Alberta NDP's direction and its stance on publicly funded pipeline projects is active ahead of its leadership race.
