Cuba to stay on daylight saving time until 2027
Original: Cuba is skipping its November 1, 2026 clock change and staying on DST until 2027
Cuba will not turn its clocks back on November 1, 2026 as scheduled, keeping daylight saving time in place until November 2027, according to timeanddate.com. The change means the island will remain one hour ahead of its standard time for a full year, affecting schedules and coordination with neighbouring countries that still observe clock changes.
Why now: An unusual, out-of-cycle change to a country's time policy draws attention from travellers, businesses and time-zone watchers.
