Xbox to charge hourly fees for streaming owned games
Original: Xbox wants you to pay 24 to 40 cents per hour to stream games you bought
Xbox plans to charge players an hourly rate of 24 to 40 cents to stream games they already own, according to Ars Technica. The proposal is drawing criticism from gamers who argue it amounts to paying repeatedly for titles they have already purchased, adding to ongoing frustration over subscription models and cloud gaming pricing in the industry.
Why now: Gamers are reacting to what many see as an unfair new paywall on games they already own.
