Self-hosted dead man's switch launched for solo developers
Original: Show HN: Death Plan Switch, a self-hosted dead man's switch for solo devs
A developer has released Death Plan Switch, a self-hosted dead man's switch tool aimed at solo developers. The service checks in with the user and releases prearranged information, such as access credentials or instructions, if the user fails to respond, ensuring their projects and accounts can be handled if something happens to them. Early discussion is focused on its usefulness for independent developers who manage systems alone.
Why now: Solo developers increasingly worry about what happens to their projects and credentials if they become incapacitated or die.
