Matt Mullenweg Orders Accessibility Revert, Bans WordPress Committer

Original: Matt Mullenweg Orders Accessibility Revert, Bans Core Wordpress Committer

WordPress co-creator Matt Mullenweg has ordered a revert of an accessibility change in the WordPress codebase and banned a core committer from the project, reportedly telling them to contribute their talents elsewhere. The decision has sparked debate among developers about project governance, inclusivity, and how accessibility concerns are handled in open source communities.

Why now: The abrupt banning of a core contributor over an accessibility change has reignited criticism of Mullenweg's leadership of WordPress.
