Unmodified Linux amdgpu driver runs on an iPad

Original: Running the unmodified Linux amdgpu driver on an iPad

A developer has demonstrated the Linux amdgpu driver running unmodified on an iPad, an unusual feat given Apple's proprietary hardware. The project, shared via the LemonSeed-Studio repository, is drawing attention from Linux and hardware enthusiasts surprised that AMD's graphics stack can operate outside its intended environment.

Why now: The technical novelty of getting a mainstream Linux GPU driver working on Apple hardware is remarkable to the open-source community
