Ukrainian Drones Strike Lukoil Refinery Deep Inside Russia

Original: Ukrainian Drones Strike Russia's Lukoil Refinery 1,700 Km Away

Ukrainian drones struck a Lukoil oil refinery in Russia's Komi Republic, roughly 1,700 kilometres from the Ukrainian border, marking one of the deepest attacks inside Russian territory to date. The strike highlights Kyiv's growing long-range drone capabilities and its campaign against Russian oil refining infrastructure, which aims to cut into the revenues funding Moscow's war effort.

Why now: The unprecedented range of the strike shows Ukrainian drones can now reach far deeper into Russia than previously thought possible.
