City-Building Game Where the City Resists You
Original: A city-building game in which the city would prefer you didn't
A satirical city-building game called Housing is drawing attention online, hosted at housing.over.pizza. Unlike typical simulators where players freely construct cities, this one flips the premise: the city itself pushes back against your attempts to build. Commenters are amused by the inversion, reading it as a commentary on housing policy, zoning barriers and how hard it is to build new housing in real cities.
Why now: The game's satirical take on housing shortages and building restrictions resonates with current debates about housing affordability and zoning.
