Duquesne Light workers stay on strike as storms approach
Original: Duquesne Light workers remain on strike with storms expected to hit region this weekend
Duquesne Light workers remain on strike as storms are forecast to hit the Pittsburgh region this weekend. The timing is drawing concern because power outages from severe weather could coincide with a reduced workforce to restore electricity. The strike continues with no announced resolution between the utility and its workers.
Why now: The combination of an ongoing utility strike and an incoming storm raises concerns about outage response in the region.
