Europa Nostra and 200+ groups urge EU to reverse Creative Europe budget cuts

Original: Europa Nostra joins 200+ organisations in calling on EU Member States to reverse the proposed cuts to Creative Europe's 2027 budget

Europa Nostra, together with more than 200 cultural organisations, is calling on EU Member States to reverse proposed cuts to the Creative Europe programme's 2027 budget. The joint appeal warns that reducing funding for Europe's main cultural programme would undermine the cultural sector and its contribution to the European economy and identity, and urges governments to restore the planned allocations.

Why now: The EU budget negotiations for 2027 are under way, and proposed cuts to cultural funding have mobilised Europe's cultural sector.
