Europa Nostra and 200 organisations urge EU to reverse Creative Europe budget cuts
Original: Europa Nostra joins 200+ organisations in calling on EU Member States to reverse the proposed cuts to Creative Europe's 2027 budget
Europa Nostra, together with more than 200 cultural organisations, has called on EU Member States to reverse proposed cuts to the Creative Europe programme's budget for 2027. The joint appeal argues that reduced funding would weaken Europe's cultural and creative sectors, and urges governments to protect the EU's main support programme for culture ahead of the next long-term budget negotiations.
Why now: EU budget negotiations for 2027 are under way, and the proposed cuts have mobilised Europe's cultural sector to lobby Member States.
