Russia offers US help fighting plague outbreaks

Russia's national health agency says it is concerned about outbreaks of plague and other infectious diseases in the United States and is ready to assist Washington in combating them. The statement is being widely mocked as trolling, coming shortly after reports of plague cases in Russia's Irkutsk region. Commenters see it as a propaganda gesture rather than a genuine offer of medical cooperation.

Why now: The offer is widely viewed as mocking US health problems while Russia itself faces plague reports, making it a provocative propaganda move.
