Writer swaps iPhone 15 Pro Max for standard iPhone 17, no regrets

Original: I 'downgraded' my iPhone 15 Pro Max to a regular iPhone 17 — and I have zero regrets

A Tom's Guide writer describes 'downgrading' from the larger, more expensive iPhone 15 Pro Max to the standard iPhone 17, saying they have zero regrets. The piece suggests the base iPhone 17 now delivers enough performance, camera quality and battery life that most users won't miss the Pro Max's extra features, weighing whether the Pro tier is still worth the premium.

Why now: Apple's new iPhone 17 lineup is prompting buyers to reconsider whether a Pro model is still necessary.
