Robert P. Jones draws comparison between MAGA movement and Nazis
Original: Robert P Jones compares MAGA to Nazis
Author and researcher Robert P. Jones has publicly compared the MAGA movement to Nazis, likening elements of Donald Trump's political base to historical German fascism. The remark has circulated widely among US political commentators, with supporters denouncing the comparison as inflammatory and critics of the movement sharing it approvingly. It adds to an ongoing debate about the use of fascist analogies in American political discourse.
Why now: The comparison touches on the highly charged debate over whether Trump's movement echoes historical fascism.
