Letters warn Hollywood long sounded alarm on climate crisis
Original: Letters to the Editor: Even Hollywood has been warning us about our current climate change horror show
A Los Angeles Times letters contributor argues that Hollywood has been warning audiences about the climate crisis for years, and that the extreme weather and environmental disasters now unfolding match what disaster films long depicted. The piece frames current climate impacts as a 'horror show' that should surprise no one who has watched the entertainment industry's cautionary stories.
Why now: Ongoing extreme weather and climate disasters are prompting reflection on how long warnings have been circulating.
