Readers say Hollywood long warned of climate crisis
Original: Letters to the Editor: Even Hollywood has been warning us about our current climate change horror show
In a Los Angeles Times letters to the editor feature, readers argue that Hollywood films have been warning audiences about climate change for years, and that the current extreme weather and environmental crisis now resembles those on-screen warnings. The letters frame recent disasters as a predicted 'horror show' arriving despite decades of fictional cautionary tales about a warming planet.
Why now: Ongoing extreme weather and climate disasters are prompting reflection on how long the warnings have existed.
