Stray Kids follows BTS in Grammy boycott over Asian pop category
Stray Kids have reportedly followed BTS in boycotting the Grammy Awards over its handling of the Asian pop category. The group is said to be withholding participation in protest of how the awards treat K-pop and Asian music acts. The move puts renewed attention on the Grammys' category structure and its treatment of Asian artists.
Why now: BTS has a huge global fanbase, so a second major K-pop act joining a Grammy boycott draws wide attention to how Asian pop is treated by US awards.
