Experts Urge Nepal Congress to Adopt Sharper Foreign Policy
Original: Experts, leaders urge Congress to adopt a sharper foreign policy
Policy experts and political leaders have called on the Nepali Congress to adopt a sharper, more clearly defined foreign policy, according to a report by The Kathmandu Post. The appeal reflects growing concern that the party, a key player in Nepal's coalition politics, lacks a decisive stance on relations with neighbours and major powers.
Why now: Debates over Nepal's balancing act between India, China and Western partners are intensifying, prompting calls for the largest opposition party to clarify its foreign policy position.
