Aaron Sorkin Surprised Jesse Eisenberg Passed on Reprising Zuckerberg Role

Original: Aaron Sorkin Surprised Jesse Eisenberg Wouldn't Want to Play Mark Zuckerberg

Aaron Sorkin says he was surprised that Jesse Eisenberg chose not to play Mark Zuckerberg again for the new Facebook film, 'The Social Reckoning'. Eisenberg, who earned an Oscar nomination for portraying the Meta founder in 'The Social Network' (2010), declined to return for the follow-up, leaving the role to be recast as Sorkin returns to write and direct the sequel.

Why now: Eisenberg's iconic Oscar-nominated turn made his exit from the sequel unexpected, and Sorkin's public reaction adds star power to coverage of the upcoming film.
