Trump pushes Cotton for permanent daylight saving time
Original: Trump urges calls to Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton in push for permanent daylight saving time
Donald Trump is urging people to call Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton as part of a push to make daylight saving time permanent in the United States. The appeal puts fresh attention on the long-running debate over whether the country should stop changing its clocks twice a year, an effort Cotton has previously championed in Congress.
Why now: Trump's public call to action draws attention to the recurring legislative debate over ending seasonal clock changes.
