Trump pushes Cotton for permanent daylight saving time
Original: Trump urges calls to Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton in push for permanent daylight saving time
Donald Trump is urging people to call Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton as he presses for the United States to adopt permanent daylight saving time. The former president has long backed ending the twice-yearly clock changes, and is now enlisting Cotton, who has sponsored legislation to lock the clocks forward year-round, to push the issue in Congress.
Why now: Trump publicly reignited the debate over ending clock changes by mobilising calls to a key senator.
