Commentators Criticize 'It Doesn't Affect Me' Defense of ICE
Original: “It Doesn’t Affect Me” - The Problem With Defending ICE | Forrest Valkai + Ari
Science communicator Forrest Valkai joined host Jimmy Snow on The Line to argue against the common defense of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement that it doesn't affect the people defending it. The discussion challenges viewers to consider how immigration enforcement harms communities beyond those directly targeted, and the conversation has drawn significant online attention.
Why now: Immigration enforcement remains a heated political topic, and a prominent critique of indifference toward ICE is drawing large engagement.
