A man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for blowing up an ultra-low emission zone (ULEZ) camera in south-east London. The incident is being treated as terrorism, and the case has drawn attention amid ongoing opposition to London's ULEZ expansion and the monitoring of anti-camera activism in the UK.
Why now: The unusually severe 15-year sentence, with the case labelled terrorism, is striking given ULEZ cameras have been a flashpoint of public anger in London.
