Tony Romo and CBS Sports agree to part ways after arrest
Original: Tony Romo and CBS Sports have ‘mutually agreed to part ways’ following his OWI arrest
Tony Romo and CBS Sports have mutually agreed to part ways following the former Dallas Cowboys quarterback's arrest for operating while intoxicated. Romo had served as the network's lead NFL color analyst for several seasons, becoming one of the most prominent voices in football broadcasting. The split marks a swift fall for a commentator once praised as the sport's top analyst, and CBS now faces the task of replacing him ahead of the new season.
Why now: The arrest of a high-profile NFL broadcaster and his abrupt exit from a major network is big sports news.
