EU says it fully rejects any ban on diesel

Original: EU fully rejects any ban on diesel, EU spokesperson says

A European Commission spokesperson said the European Union fully rejects any ban on diesel, according to Reuters. The statement came amid ongoing debate in Europe over combustion-engine phase-outs and emissions rules, and it is drawing attention from motorists, carmakers and climate policy watchers who have been arguing over the future of diesel on the continent.

Why now: Uncertainty over future EU combustion-engine and emissions policy keeps diesel rules in the news.
