Sidewalk find: restoring an old bicycle bell
Original: found this today! on a sidewalk. i like the old-fashioned noise. kinda want to make it better? at least a little? i hate
A person found a discarded bicycle bell on a sidewalk and is considering cleaning it up. They say they enjoy its old-fashioned ring but dislike the handlebar mount, initially guessing it shares a bolt with the bell itself before correcting that assumption. The post drew modest engagement from people who enjoy small restoration projects and vintage bike accessories.
Why now: People enjoy small DIY restoration stories and vintage finds shared casually online.

Evidence
- found this today! on a sidewalk. i like the old-fashioned noise. kinda want to make it better? at least a little? i hate the handlebar attachment, it's garbage.
