Mamdani calls Netanyahu's UN remarks a Gaza distraction

Original: Mamdani rips Netanyahu’s UN jab as Gaza distraction: ‘Not about me and him’

New York mayoral figure Zohran Mamdani responded to criticism from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the United Nations, saying the comments were an attempt to distract from the war in Gaza. Mamdani said the exchange is 'not about me and him,' arguing attention should stay on the humanitarian situation in Gaza rather than personal or political feuds.

Why now: Netanyahu's UN speech criticized Mamdani by name, prompting the New York politician's sharp public response amid ongoing Gaza war coverage.
