ICE misses body camera training target for field agents
Original: Not all ICE field agents trained on body cameras, missing target date
US Immigration and Customs Enforcement has missed its target date for training all field agents on body cameras, meaning not every ICE field agent has completed the required training. The shortfall raises questions about accountability and transparency in immigration enforcement operations, as camera use is meant to document agents' conduct during arrests and raids. Critics are likely to press the agency over the delay and demand a revised timeline for full rollout.
Why now: ICE missed its stated deadline for training all field agents on body cameras, drawing scrutiny of agency transparency.
