ICE misses body camera training target for field agents
Original: Not all ICE field agents trained on body cameras, missing target date
US Immigration and Customs Enforcement has missed its target date for training all field agents on body cameras, meaning not every officer in the field has been equipped or trained to use them. The setback raises questions about transparency and accountability in immigration enforcement operations, particularly as the agency's activities face heightened public scrutiny.
Why now: Ongoing public debate over immigration enforcement accountability makes transparency failures at ICE newsworthy.
