A scientist is pointing to possible parallels between the living world and the quantum realm, suggesting that quantum-like states may play a genuine role in biology. The idea is framed against the cautionary tale of Jurassic Park: while that film warned of the dangers of mixing biology and technology, the combination of biology and quantum phenomena may be more fruitful than feared, potentially illuminating how life and quantum physics intersect.
Why now: Ongoing scientific interest in quantum biology and how quantum effects might operate in living systems.
