A science discussion is drawing attention to the idea that quantum-like states may play a role in living systems, challenging the popular lesson of Jurassic Park that mixing nature with advanced technology ends badly. The post points to potentially illuminating parallels between the living world and the quantum realm, suggesting biology and quantum mechanics could complement rather than endanger each other.
Why now: People are fascinated by emerging research suggesting quantum effects may operate in biological systems.
