Iowa Stage Theatre Company Stages 'Reefer Madness' at Stoner Theater
Original: Iowa Stage Theatre Company brings 'Reefer Madness' to — where else — the Stoner Theater
Iowa Stage Theatre Company is bringing the satirical musical 'Reefer Madness' to the Stoner Theater, a venue whose name adds an unavoidable comic fit for the cult show about anti-marijuana hysteria. Local coverage highlights the pun as much as the production itself, drawing attention to the company's choice of material and venue in Des Moines.
Why now: The venue's name is an amusingly perfect match for the musical's subject, making the pairing shareable.
