Israel says FlyDubai hijacking attempt targeted Israelis and Abraham Accords
Original: Israel: FlyDubai Hijacking Attempt Targeted Israelis, UAE And Abraham Accords
Israeli officials say a hijacking attempt on a FlyDubai flight was aimed at Israelis and intended to undermine ties with the UAE and the Abraham Accords. The incident is being framed as an attack on the normalisation agreements between Israel and Gulf states. Details about the suspect and the flight's outcome remain limited, and it is not yet clear how authorities responded.
Why now: It touches on regional security and the stability of Israel-UAE relations under the Abraham Accords.
