FlyDubai hijacking attempt aimed at Israelis and UAE ties, Israel says
Original: Israel: FlyDubai Hijacking Attempt Targeted Israelis, UAE And Abraham Accords
Israeli officials say a hijacking attempt on a FlyDubai flight was aimed at Israelis, the United Arab Emirates and the Abraham Accords normalisation agreements. i24NEWS reported the claim, framing the incident as an attack on the UAE-Israel relationship. Further details about the flight, the suspect and the outcome were not provided in the report.
Why now: Israel is characterising the attempted hijacking as politically motivated against the Abraham Accords, drawing attention to UAE-Israel security ties.
