Original: Early Addition: Pedicabs keep blasting 'Empire State of Mind' outside Broadway theaters during the show https://gothamis
Pedicab operators in New York keep playing Alicia Keys and Jay-Z's 'Empire State of Mind' loudly outside Broadway theaters while shows are underway, according to Gothamist's Early Addition round-up. The noise is frustrating theatergoers and venues, adding to ongoing complaints about pedicab conduct and noise around the Times Square theater district.
Why now: The noise disruption to Broadway performances is a fresh, relatable New York quality-of-life complaint drawing attention.
