Singapore launches matchmaking service for government workers
Singapore has launched a matchmaking service aimed at government workers, according to BBC News. The scheme is designed to help single civil servants meet potential partners, continuing the city-state's long-standing efforts to encourage dating and marriage amid low birth rates. The unusual move has drawn attention and mixed reactions online, with many amused that the government is directly involved in its employees' love lives.
Why now: The novelty of a government running a dating service for its own staff is surprising and widely shared.
