Baylor fires football coach Dave Aranda after loss to Kansas
Original: Baylor fires football coach Dave Aranda after brutal loss to Kansas
Baylor University has dismissed head football coach Dave Aranda following a heavy defeat to Kansas. Aranda, who led the Bears since 2020 and delivered a Big 12 title in 2021, departs with the program struggling in recent seasons. The firing ends his tenure in Waco, Texas, and leaves Baylor searching for a new leader ahead of the next recruiting cycle.
Why now: A Power Four program just fired its head coach immediately after a lopsided loss, which is major breaking college football news.
