Russian governor hits out at Ukraine over timing of missile plant strike

Original: A Russian governor accused Ukraine of "particular cynicism" for bombing an Iskander missile plant at 6 PM because worker

A Russian regional governor accused Ukraine of 'particular cynicism' after a strike on a plant producing Iskander ballistic missiles, arguing the attack came at 6 PM as workers were leaving for the day. Critics mocked the complaint, saying a weapons factory remains a legitimate military target regardless of shift hours, and that Russia cannot expect its war effort to keep office hours while its missile production fuels strikes on Ukrainian cities.

Why now: The strike on a key Iskander missile plant and the governor's complaint about its timing sparked debate over the legitimacy of targeting wartime weapons production.

Evidence

• A Russian governor accused Ukraine of "particular cynicism" for bombing an Iskander missile plant at 6 PM because workers were heading home. If a ballistic missile factory is off-limits when the shift ends, Russia expects total war to keep office hours. 1/ · actfast · 6.2K
