OnKey app shows singers exactly where they go off-key
Original: Show HN: OnKey – I'm a bad singer, so I built an app to show where I'm off-key
Developer dsmurrell has released OnKey, an app built to help people who sing badly by visualising exactly where their pitch strays off-key. The project, shared on Hacker News under its Show HN format, links to open code on GitHub and is drawing hundreds of upvotes. Users are discussing the pitch-detection approach and suggesting use cases for practice and karaoke.
Why now: It is a newly launched indie app on Hacker News whose self-deprecating pitch and open-source code are attracting attention.
