Writer says they got 300 Tor exit nodes taken offline
Original: How I got over 300 Tor exit nodes removed
A security writer describes how they were able to get more than 300 Tor exit relay nodes removed, detailing the process in a new technical post. The claim is drawing attention from privacy and internet-freedom communities, who are discussing what such mass removals mean for the resilience of the Tor network and how relay operators might respond to similar takedown attempts.
Why now: Mass removal of exit nodes could weaken the Tor network, making the method used a concern for privacy advocates.
