Original: iceye
The New York Times reports that a Russian satellite made a menacing close approach to another spacecraft in orbit, drawing international concern about orbital safety and possible counterspace activity. Finnish radar satellite operator ICEYE is trending alongside the story, as its satellite imagery is often used to track and verify such orbital events, which cannot be captured by conventional optical means.
Why now: Fresh reporting on a Russian satellite's aggressive maneuver in orbit has put space-tracking companies like ICEYE in the news.
