Guilbeault urges climate action despite global crises
Original: Do not be distracted by global crises. Nature cannot wait for a better year – we must act now | Steven Guilbeault https:
Steven Guilbeault, writing in the Guardian, argues that mounting global crises should not distract governments from environmental action. In an opinion piece published on 20 October, he warns that nature 'cannot wait for a better year' and calls for immediate measures to protect ecosystems and address the climate and biodiversity emergency now rather than deferring action.
Why now: Readers are engaging with a prominent call by a leading climate figure to keep environmental protection on the agenda amid competing global crises.
