Doctors Without Borders Denounce Violence Against Palestinian Communities
Original: The violence experienced by our colleague, barriers to reaching medical care and growing restrictions imposed on Palesti
Doctors Without Borders has issued a statement condemning violence against one of its colleagues, barriers blocking access to medical care, and growing restrictions imposed on Palestinian communities, arguing these developments are not coincidental but connected. The humanitarian organisation is calling attention to deteriorating conditions facing Palestinians and the obstacles its medical teams encounter while trying to deliver treatment.
Why now: An international medical humanitarian organisation has publicly linked violence against its staff to wider restrictions on Palestinians, drawing fresh attention to access to healthcare in the region.
