Servo browser engine ships CSS Grid and text selection progress
Original: August in Servo: CSS Grid, text selection, and more
The Servo project has published its August development update, highlighting progress on CSS Grid support, text selection, and other engine improvements. Servo, the open-source browser engine originally started by Mozilla and now maintained with support from Igalia and the Linux Foundation, continues its revival, and the steady stream of engine features is drawing attention from developers tracking alternatives to Chromium-based browsers.
Why now: Developer interest in independent browser engines and Servo's ongoing revival makes each progress update newsworthy.
